The sliders below rewrite the ranking. They do not invent a vote, a dollar, or a person. Ads, donations, trades, news, and outreach are not inputs.
Share of eligible recorded votes on which the member answered Yea, Nay, or Present. Mid-session joiners are scored only against votes held while they held the seat.
Yea + Nay as a share of votes actually cast. Present is a non-position and lowers this score. Absence is not in the denominator.
Committee assignments from the unitedstates/congress-legislators membership file, scored against the chamber median. Rhetoric is not an input.
Optional directional pillar. A vote is classified only when a named keyword rule matches the bill or question text. Scored the same regardless of party.

The district digest lists votes, filings, and sourced alerts. Civic-feed opinions live on /feed and never rewrite the record.
Federal members are scored only against machine-readable Clerk and Senate rolls in this database. State legislators from OpenStates are a directory: office, district, party, contact. Their AV score and voting record stay empty unless that chamber publishes roll calls we have actually ingested — none in this build.
Followers, floor speeches, cable hits, party-line percentage, advocacy-group ratings, tenure-as-credit, ads, donations, trades, news, outreach, executive orders, agency actions, or topic thoughts. There is no invented cabinet AV index. Paid verification is not a score input.
